My Favourite Christmas Movies

Hello everyone!

Seeing as it's almost Christmas (eek!) I thought I would do a post all about my favourite Christmas movies. Because who doesn't love cosying up under a blanket, drinking hot chocolate and watching a Christmas movie?!

In no particular order ( I couldn't pick a favourite out of these) the Christmas movies that just make this time of year festive for me are:

To me Home Alone is the epitome of a classic Christmas movie. If you haven't seen any of the Home Alone movies you need to change that this year. My favourite is Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. Home Alone is about a young boy called Kevin whose family goes on holiday at Christmas and leave him 'home alone'. What's your favourite of the Home Alone series ?

This is such a feel good film. I love how there is lots of different storylines that all connect. It's so Christmasy and I have seen it so many times. Love Actually is about lots of different people but they are all linked in some way. They are either parent and child, workmates, siblings and so on. Each of the characters have a problem which they spend the duration of the movie trying to overcome and then at the end they all come together to celebrate Christmas.

This is like the perfect anti-Christmas, Christmas movie. It's so funny although it's definitely not relatable. I'm like the complete opposite of the Grinch. The Grinch is a thing (not really a person is he ?) who hates Christmas. Then comes along Cindy Lou who tries to make him love the holiday.

This is very similar to Love Actually in the sense that it's such a feel good romance movie set around the holidays (obviously.) The Holiday is about two women who live on opposite sides of the world. At Christmastime they decide to swap houses. Whilst in the others hometown they each meet a man and fall in love.

So that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed hearing about just some of my favourite Christmas movies. Let me know your favourite in the comments. See you on Sunday (if my internet doesn't fail me) for another Christmas related post. Also how many times have I said the word Christmas in this post ?!

November Favourites

Hello everyone!

Now I know pretty much everyone says this but i really can't believe it's the end of November let alone almost the end of the year. Christmas is next month. How crazy is that?! I have never done a monthly favourites here on my blog but I love reading other peoples posts and watching their Youtube videos. So I thought I would give you a roundup of some of the things I have loved recently. I'm not going to talk much about beauty favourites today because I have a winter essentials post coming soon so I will talk about my favourite bits in there. Also this post would be far too long if I included them.

My first favourtite is this scarf from Primark. It is so big and does a great job at keeping you all warm and cosy during winter. Plus it's such a bargain at £4. Primark do so many different patterns but I went for this red, navy and white tartan one. I think everyone should have an oversized scarf for wintertime.

My next favourite is 'Everything Everything' by Nicola Yoon. I read this book in about 3 days. It's so good. 'Everything Everything' is about a 17 year old girl called Maddie who has a rare disease which means she could be severly allergic to anything but she doesn't know what. One day a boy called Ollie moves next door and they begin talking online. If you haven't read this book you definitely should. The ending is such a plot twist. I bought this from WH Smith for £7.99 but it is also available on Amazon.

Another favourtite of mine this month has been the Garnier PureActive 3 in 1 wash, scrub and mask. Going into winter my skin has gotten a lot more dry than it normally is so it has become flaky and I have had a lot of obvious dry patches mainly around my nose. I wanted to find something to combat this so I bought this scrub from Tesco for £3.50. I have only used it a handful of times but I can already notice a difference. It's not too harsh on my slightly sensitive skin. However it does make my skin feel a bit dried out after I use it so I just have to make sure I put some moisturiser on to help this. You can also buy this from Boots, Superdrug and FeelUnique.

The rest of my November favourites are not physical objects. I have a song and 2 tv shows. The song I have been loving is 'Shoutout To My Ex' by Little Mix. I have loved Little Mix since they were on the X Factor so any song they release I am bound to love. 'Shoutout To My Ex' is no exception. I find it so catchy and the vocals and video are great. I can't wait to see them perform it at their tour next year which i luckily got tickets for.

2 tv shows I have been loving this month are Home and Away and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Home and Away is a show that has been on air since the 80's so it's definitely not new. I've also been watching it for years but recently I have just found it so good that I had to mention it here. If you've never seen or heard of Home and Away it is a soap opera set in Australia. It tells the story of the residents of a small Australian town called Summer Bay. Everyone in the town has secrets and there is quite a lot of drama and sometimes murder.

I'm a Celebrity is another show which is not new and I've watched for a while but I wanted to give it a mention because it's so good. It comes on once a year round about October/ November time so you know when I'm a Celeb comes on it's almost Christmas. The whole concept of I'm a Celebrity is that they put 12 celebs in a jungle in Australia for a few weeks and make them do trials and challenges to earn food. I think the celebs this year are all really good as they have done really well in all of the Bushtucker Trials. Let me know in the comments if you watch I'm a Celeb who is your favourite and who you want to win. I really like Joel and Scarlett becasuse they are hilarious.

That's most of the stuff I have been loving during the month of November. As I said if I spoke through everything we would be here all day. Keep an eye out for my Winter Essentials post which will be coming at the start of December.

Let me know some of the things you've been loving this month in the comments. Speak to you soon!

KIKO Nail Polish Collection (w/ Swatches)

 Hello everyone!

I admit it. I am a nail polish addict. I have a crazy amount considering I only have 1 pair of hands. One of my favourite brands is KIKO. Their polishes last for ages (on me most varnishes will only last a day or two before chipping). KIKO also have so many colours and formulas plus they are super affordable too !

I'm not going to name and describe all the colours i have because we would be here for ages. I have included swatches and a few pictures showing you them all but my two favourites are the ones shown below.

This is the shade 303. I love this one because it's such a pretty rose gold colour. I wear this one so much.

This is the shade 530. This is a deep turquoise with green specks of glitter running through it. I haven't worn this colour much but I love how I don't have any other nail polish like it.

Let me know your favourite brand and shade of nail polish in the comments. Like I need any more!

All About My Piercings

Hello everyone!
As I mentioned in my 25 facts about me post I have a few piercings. At the time of writing that I had 4, all in my ears. Three weeks ago I finally got my nose pierced after begging my mum for the past two years. Persistence is key.
So I thought I would talk through all my piercings, how painful I thought they were and show you some pictures.

First up is the piercing I have in my right ear. I only have my first lobe piercing on this side. The first lobe is probably the most common piercing and I got mine when I was about 5 years old. For that reason I don't remember how painful it was but most people find it pretty painless.

Next is the piercings in my left ear. I also have my first lobe on this side. As well as that I have my tragus, which is the one in the middle just above my firsts. I got this done July 2015, a few weeks after my 14th birthday. I have a pretty low pain tolerance so this I would give a 7/10. But it all just depends on how you deal with pain. I just have a plain hoop in here but when I got it pierced there was a stud put in.

The last ear piercing is my helix, that's the one near the top at the back. Again when I got this pierced the piercer put a stud in it but since then I got it changed to this really cool star shaped hoop. This was slightly less painful than my tragus at a 5.5/10. I got this piercing in December 2015.

Last but certainly not least is my nose piercing. This was surprisingly not as sore as I thought it was going to be. My right eye, which is the side I have it on, just watered a lot which I was expecting. As it's only three weeks old I still have the stud I got it pierced with but when it is fully healed I might change it to a hoop. I would give this a 4/10 on the pain scale.

So that's all my piercings. For now. I got most of my piercings at Fearless Needle which is an amazing tattoo and piercing parlour not too far from where I live. Let me know if you have any piercings or tattoos, or if you want any. Speak to you soon!
